Our Story

Mali Family Charities was founded in 2019 because of Shaunak and Amy Mali’s deep hearted passion for the underserved people of India. 

Amy grew up in California, USA and volunteering at non-profits is one of her earliest memories. From a young age Amy’s parents, Steve and Connie Cagle were an extraordinary example of humanitarians with utmost humility. Amy recalls spending her Christmas and Easters serving meals and wrapping gifts at homeless shelters. “It’s better to give than receive” became part of her mission in life. Founding the Mali Family Charities in 2019 fulfilled Amy’s long-held desire to marry her business skills with her passion to serve those in need.

Shaunak grew up in Maharashtra, India and his favorite childhood memory is getting the latest tech gadget. He was so fascinated with technology's ability to reach all corners of the world. Spending over a decade in the Silicon Valley from technology startups to IPO companies Shaunak has always been an innovative pioneer of the future.  In Founding the Mali Family Charities Shaunak recognized the importance of making it a technology enabled foundation. Being on the cutting edge of technology helps overcome extreme inefficiencies in the non-profit industry and offer complete transparency to donors.

With Amy’s passion to help those in need and humanitarian expertise paired with Shaunak’s technology efficiencies Mali Family Charities is truly unique and a first of its kind.
